Ready for the current season
Giovani stated that winning the Freedom Trophy August 2026 will give the team a morale boost in upcoming matches, and that the overseas training camp was extremely successful in all aspects.
In the 2025-2026 season, the Brazilian winger delivered impressive attacking statistics in the Qatar Stars League. He also scored crucial goals against Al-Duhail and Umm Salal, and provided two assists against Al-Wakrah.

Giovanni has won five major titles since joining Al Sadd, in addition to individual accolades. He won the Qatari League title in three seasons, Qatar Cup, and in 2026, the Qatari-Emirati Super Cup. All of these achievements were accomplished by Giovanni in three seasons with Al Sadd.
Giovani represents a model of the young Brazilian player who chose Al Sadd as an early stop in his professional career, and within a short period he was able to prove his ability to make a difference offensively, making his name one of the names worth following in Qatari football. Giovani has won many titles with Al Sadd.
Feeling happy and safe in Qatar
In an interview with Qatar's Al Kass channels, Giovani and his wife expressed their happiness living in Qatar and feeling safe and secure everywhere in the country. They are looking forward to live for a long time in this beautiful country.
